The reason I require the rim to be a Mavic rim, is because I totally believe in Mavic stuff 100%. Plus, and even more important, the folks at Mavic were really good to me, back when I was trying to keep busy as a race mechanic. Yeah, that was before I even had my own shop. And for that, I will forever be grateful. Although, I also worked with a few other companies, during that time, Mavic always stood out as a notch above. And for that, I will always be loyal to that brand, till the end of days as some may say.
